An Explosion-Proof Vacuum System is a vacuum system that is capable of preventing the ignition of a specified gas or vapor and operates at such an external temperature that a surrounding flammable atmosphere will not be ignited. A Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) must certify that a vacuum system is explosion-proof.
An Intrinsically Safe Vacuum is one that operates with no moving parts and no electrical parts. The power is supplied by compressed air that is fed into a tapered restriction also called a “venturi”. Intrinsically safe vacuums are made from non-sparking metals like stainless steel and aluminum. Mild steel is not suitable as it can create a spark when a nut or a screww is vacuumed. It will create a spark when it hits the wall of the vacuum dirt-bin.

The Tiger-Vac® CD-155 (DT) EX (MFS) and CD-100L (DT) EX (MFS) three phase electrically operated models are equipped with certified induction motors with regenerative blowers rated for continuous duty. Ideal for large volume recovery and for process integration.
Fully portable and completely static-dissipating design, the vacuums have a removeable recovery tank (DT) and a manual filter shaker (MFS) that allows you to clean the filter without having to dismantle anything.

The C-10EX (4W) is the smallest in the range of Class 2 Division 2 vacuums. It is a 110v plug and play design. Ideal for clean up and general housekeeping in Class 2 Div. 2 areas. Available with a brushless motor where applicable. The recovery tank is made of SAE 304 stainless steel. For dry use only but we do have other vacuums that handle wet/dry applications.

The C-35L EX DT is Certified for Zone 22 Hazardous Areas / Dust Group IIIC (Conductive Dusts). This model can be used to Recover Combustible/Conductive Dusts in Hazardous Locations Division 2 and Zone 22 Dust Group IIIC: Suitable for groups F&G for general cleanups and housekeeping within Class 2 Division 2 areas. Comes with a static-conductive hose and tool kit.
