The Tiger-Vac® CD-55L (DT) EX (MFS) three phase electrically operated models are equipped with certified induction motors with regenerative blowers rated for continuous duty. Ideal for large volume recovery and for process integration.
Fully portable and completely static-dissipating design, the CD-55L has a removeable recovery tank (DT) and a manual filter shaker (MFS) that allows you to clean the filter without having to dismantle anything.
Div 1 - Groups D and in Class II -Div 1 - Groups F & G Hazardous Locations as defined in the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70). A certified Class II - Div 1 Group E version is also available.

What is a Dust Ignition Protected Vacuum Cleaner?
A dust ignition protected vacuum cleaner is a vacuum cleaner that is enclosed in a manner that excludes dusts and does not permit arcs, sparks or heat otherwise generated or liberated inside of the enclosure to cause ignition of exterior accumulations or atmospheric suspensions of a specified dust on, or in the vicinity of, the vacuum cleaner. To be considered as being dust ignition protected, a vacuum cleaner must be certified by a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL).

What is an Explosion Proof Vacuum Cleaner?
An explosion proof vacuum cleaner is a vacuum cleaner that is capable of preventing the ignition of a specified gas or vapor and that operates at such an external temperature that a surrounding flammable atmosphere will not be ignited. To be considered as being explosion proof, a vacuum cleaner must be certified by a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL).
What is NRTL?
OSHA created the Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) program to ensure that certain types of equipment be tested and certified for their safe use in the workplace. A Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) is a private-sector organization that OSHA has recognized as meeting the legal requirements in 29 CFR 1910.7 to perform testing and certification of products using consensus based test standards. An organization must have the necessary capability both as a product safety testing laboratory and as a product certification body to receive OSHA recognition as an NRTL. Can you explain what Combustible Dust is?
Combustible Dust. Dust particles that are 500 microns or smaller (material passing a U.S. No. 35 Standard Sieve as defined in ASTM E 11-09, Standard Specification for Wire Cloth and Sieves for Testing Purposes) and present a fire or explosion hazard when dispersed and ignited in air.
