Drum Top Pneumatic Vacuum
The Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District approached us with a unique scenario on a major project.
The Problem
The Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District approached us recently for a vacuuming solution. They already had a trailer-mounted, diesel-powered vacuum for large debris, but they also needed several portable vacuums with 55-gallon hopper capacities for smaller applications. No electricity was available, so the solution would need to be powered by something else.
The Solution
A portable compressed air powered vacuum is much more powerful than its 110V electric counterpart. The workers were looking for something highly portable that could support 25’ of hose for vacuuming up pieces of concrete and concrete dust. We recommended our Dual Venturi Drum-top Vacuums.
These vacuums need quite a bit of compressed air to power them, but the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District had plenty of tow-behind compressors on site. The Venturi Vacs were perfect for the project, and the workers were able to do impromptu cleanups easily by connecting the vacuum to the compressor.
The customer was very pleased with the result and has since ordered many more of the vacuums.
