Static-Free Dust Collector for Fugitive Dust Capture
Stainless Steel Arm and Automatic Filter-Cleaning
Coral JETCLEAN DF1 NFPA 652 with 316 SS ATEX Arm.
DF1 NFPA 660 is a portable 120v single-phase Dust Extractor with ATEX 316 Stainless Arm, Anti-Sparking Fan, and Conductive Cartridge Filters.. Explosive dust particles from industrial processes need to be collected and properly filtered for safety, better productivity, and compliance with NFPA 660 Standards for ST1 and ST2 combustible dusts. EHS and AHJ normally allow enclosureless units in HAZLOC as long as they are compliant with standards recommended by NFPA. The company AHJ or EHS normally has to sign off on usage of XP dust collection. When we discuss the application we examine all aspects to make sure we are offering the safest and most effective solution for your unique application.
Designed to Stop the Dust Cloud When Pouring Powders into a Mixer or Blender
Designed to stop the nuisance dust cloud that occurs when pouring powders in to a mixer. That dust eventually drifts off and settles in hard to reach places. The best way to overcome this is by doing a direct source-capture right at the opening to stop the dust from drifting away and becoming a dust plume.
The most common reason for a portable XP dust collector is when you are pouring bags of organic powders into a blender or a mixer. The lighter dust plumes off and becomes a nuisance dust cloud.
By placing the snorkel about 8 inches away from the pouring, the nuisance dust will flow into the articulating arm pushing clean breathable air back into the work area that has been filtered to HEPA specifications.
Combustible Dust | Dust Explosions
Capturing combustible dust particles is an important part of workplace safety and risk management. Dust collection systems and vacuum cleaners designed for combustible dust can help prevent fires and explosions by capturing dust before it spreads into the air.
Plenum for HEPA | Carbon
A bolt-On PLENUM Can Be Added for Trapping of VOC and Toxic Dusts
PLENUM bolts on to roof of DF1. It doubles as a silencer.
A bolt-on plenum can be added for trapping of VOC or sub-micron harmful dust. It can contain a .3 @ 99.97% eff HEPA, or a 38 lbs. activated carbon cell for VOC.
The configuration of filtration used will be specific to your application. We have aluminized conductive cartridges, as well as NANO web for sticky fume, and polyester spunbond for powders, and FR for welding.
You can customize the unit on-site for a wide range of applications by having additional filters on hand.
316 Stainless ATEX Arm
316 Stainless ATEX Arm - Food Grade and NFPA Compliant
The 316 Stainless Arm can be wall-mounted
316 Stainless ATEX Arm - Food Grade and NFPA Compliant. The Evolution arm base is equipped with a custom rotary bearing which enables a 360º rotation to optimize usability. This patented external joint design not only offers easier operator adjustability of the arm but also results in a lower static resistance to facilitate improved contaminant capture and removal.
This improved performance results in lower operating costs, less operating noise, and improved air quality for the operator at the workstation. Overall, this unique design enables the arm to out-perform other arms available on the market.

Can you better explain what NFPA 660 Standard for Vacuums and Dust Collectors means?
According to NFPA 660 (page 660-35) it needs to meet the following best-practice build criteria:
8.4.2.2.1.7* For portable vacuum cleaners used with combustible dusts having a minimum ignition energy less than 30 mJ, the path to ground shall be verified prior to use after each movement or new connection, or both.
8.4.2.2.1.8* Portable vacuum cleaners that meet the following minimum requirements shall be permitted to be used to collect combustible particulate solids in unclassified locations:
(1) Materials of construction shall comply with 9.6.6.1.
(2) Hoses shall be conductive or static dissipative.
(3) All conductive and static dissipative components, including wands and attachments, shall be bonded and grounded.
(4) The fan or blower shall be on the clean side of the primary filtration media or wet separation chamber.
(5) The vacuum cleaner shall not be operated without filter media in place.
(6) Electrical motors shall not be located on the dirty side of the primary filtration media or wet separation chamber unless listed for Class II or Class III, Division 1, as appropriate, or Zone 20 or Zone 21 locations.
(7)* Where liquids or wet materials are picked up by the vacuum cleaner, paper filter elements shall not be used.
What is included with the JETCLEAN DF1 NFPA 652?
*Cleaning system with compressed air *Extraction arm 6” 10’ ATEX Stainless Steel 316 *Electrical Switch ON-OFF IP55 *Collection bin *Dirty area under 8 cubic feet *Fan anti-spark inlet *Fan mounted on the clean side
What makes the JETCLEAN DF1 NFPA 660 different to other similar dust collectors?
The Coral DF range of Dust Collectors are vastly superior in every way. From the drop-out spark chamber to the 314 stainless arm, IP55 Starter, to the Antistatic Filter, for under $10k including the SS arm, the DF1 NFPA 652 is the price/performance king
Can the ATEX arms be purchased separately?
Yes. They are available in Machine-Mount and Wall-Mount.
“if the system’s air-material separator, such as a filter receiver, dust collector, or cyclone, has an enclosure (dirty-side) volume greater than 8 cu. ft., then the enclosure must be protected against an explosions effect by a valid protection method, such as explosion venting, suppression, or containment.”
Can I see water-bath spark trap, and the internal drop-out chamber, and operating principle for this unit?
We really need a source-capture unit like this but space is a concern.
No problem. The Dust Collector can be in an adjacent space with a 6" flex-hose running to the ATEX Arm which can be mounted to a beam, ceiling, or wall with our Wall-Mount Kit for ATEX Arms.
