Welding produces harmful by-products, such as hexavalent-chromium, and other burned oils and gases that are harmful. OSHA has mandated source-capture and HEPA filtration as a solution.
Ambient Collectors don't do anything to keep to keep these harmful gases out of the operators breathing zone. The smoke first passes through your breathing zone before it gets to the filter. Welding Booths contain panel filters that are meant for HVAC. They also have poor seals around the filter making bypass inevitable. Source capture is the solution here. It also cost a lot less, and you can do it with single phase 110 volts.
Elimination of harmful dusts like hex-chrome at the source
Automatic fume extraction from welding torch happens as soon as you start welding. A small diameter hose connects to the welding torch and immediately starts sucking the fumes away from the torch.
This vacuum cleaner is specifically designed for this purpose. It features one or two powerful By-Pass motors and the control of this industrial vacuum cleaner is seamlessly integrated with the welding machine itself. To ensure safety and efficiency, a sophisticated sensor is strategically positioned on the vacuum cleaner to detect the flow of current in the ground cable, which is attached to a special clip.
